The future for agriculture is an impressive one, particularly here in Iowa. Food and livestock production is being joined by renewable fuel production and even windpower as proven economic growth engines for the Iowa countryside. GreenValley Ag & Turf is positioned to be an integral part of that growth with an aggressive business plan to capture an ever-increasing portion of the Iowa equipment business. There's a wide range of career opportunities at GreenValley Ag & Turf at our present locations in Mt Vernon, De Witt, Keystone, and Lowden. Not only are we committed to our valued customers, we are committed to providing the most satisfying careers possible in sales, service, parts and management available in Iowa.

If you enjoy technology, all the way from GPS to hydraulics we have the perfect career for you in service.
A career as a service technician or as a service manager with GreenValley Ag & Turf means the best training programs available combined with the satisfaction of helping provide customers with professional service on key investments. Agricultural equipment design is raising the technology bar constantly. The technology has moved far beyond engines, transmission, hydraulics and electronics. Add to that list GPS systems, on-board computers and other developments, and you get the picture. A career in our Service Department goes well beyond maintaining and maximizing the productivity of our customers' equipment. By training our technicians and management in customer care as well as machinery care, our Service Department proves a valuable ally in building lifelong customers.

Our specialty groups serve specific customer segments and provide real growth opportunities for careers in highly specialized ag-related markets.

Working with the John Deere brand in our Iowa markets means lots of opportunity beyond ag production equipment in both sales and service. Here's three of these categories: Consumer: John Deere has built a great reputation for providing the best designed and built lawn and garden equipment available. John Deere equipment sales in this category have proven to be a tremendous growth opportunity for GreenValley Ag & Turf. The power of the brand and the expertise of the dealership behind it are producing excellent growth opportunities for our dealerships. Rural: Twenty...thirty...forty acre lifestyle customers represent another important area of growth for our dealerships. This segment also represents one of the best database management opportunities in front of us and in building lifelong customers. John Deere Gators also address this market. Spray Center: GreenValley Ag & Turf saw opportunity in the self-propelled sprayer business in 2001 when it was awarded the John Deere Spray Center contract for the southeastern quarter of Iowa. By putting together a dedicated sprayer team of a full-time salesman and three service technicians, GVAT set the standard on how to address this new market segment for John Deere.

A career in sales with GreenValley Ag & Turf requires understanding customer needs and our value-added offerings of equipment and financing options.

Farmers are business people first and foremost and tough negotiators as well. Tackle that challenge with the best sales training in the industry, equipment that has a reputation for productivity and quality second to none, and the best in parts and service, and you will succeed in sales with GVAT. Your sales tools at GVAT go well beyond traditional sales training on features and benefits of the "long green line". You will also learn to utilize our customer database to plan and track customer equipment needs. Understanding finance options for our customers is another important component of ongoing training with John Deere Credit programs and value-added services such as Farm Plan. In other words, convincing a customer thata certain piece of equipment is best for their operation is just the start of an ongoing customer process. By helping our salespeople understand all of the dynamics un making a sale and following up in a timely manner, we create customers for life. And that truly makes a career in sales with GVAT engaging and interesting on a daily basis.

Hundreds of contact points every day make a career in our Parts Department more than a behind-the-counter experience.

Downtime is one of the worst things that can happen during planting or harvesting season. That's why our Parts Department management and sales careers are so critical to the success of our customers and of our business. Planning inventory orders, tracking inventories and having the ability to identify and locate a specific part for a customer in a hurry make a career in our Parts Department a challenging but extremely satisfying career. There is also a chance to express your creative side with planning showroom counters and displays and determining how to utilize promotional materials. Most important, customers coming through our doors are usually headed for the parts counter. That first impression our people make in letting our customers know that we'll take care of their parts needs is an integral part of our business and in creating lifelong customers.
